Falisha’s Home Daycare is a licensed private daycare proudly serving the South Side of Chicago for over 15 years. We take pride in providing nurturing, educational care for every child and family we serve.
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, including children with special needs. Our services include full-day care, before- and after-school programs for school-aged children, and convenient transportation options for families.

Our Licensed Provider
Falisha Hunter, the proud owner of Falisha Cares Daycare, is a devoted single mother of two with a lifelong passion for caring for children. Before opening her own daycare, Falisha worked as a case manager with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), where she supported families and advocated for the well-being of children.
Her journey to opening a licensed home daycare was deeply personal. When her daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Falisha experienced firsthand the challenges parents face when seeking quality, reliable childcare. Determined to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment not only for her own child but for other families in similar situations, she founded Falisha Cares Daycare over 15 years ago.
Today, Falisha combines her professional expertise and personal experience to provide a daycare that truly feels like a home away from home—a place where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
